Saw my first buck
 

This morning I saw my first buck! Im 14 and just got my license this year. It was a 4 point but out of my range. I don't think I could have shot it anyway cause I was shaking real bad because I was so excited.

way to go man, it'll just get better and better, you showed real self-control not just shooting the woods up, someone has taught you well, just remember to breathe:D

Ive been teaching myself to hunt because I have no one to hunt with. My dad said I could get my license but I hunt by myself behind my house(we have 8 acres).

my dad does not hunt anymore either and he never took me hunting, he loves to fish though:D, he said he had all he wanted of guns in the army, i was very fortunate to have a uncle that was willing to show me "the ropes". and your in a great place here to learn just about anything you need to know about hunting.

Welcome aboard Ryguy!!! Sounds like you got the fever, thats great! This is a great sport, have fun!!!!!! Stick with it and soon you be harvesting your first deer!:)

Congratulations, Ryguy! You must have been doing a lot of things right to get to see that buck, because they're pretty careful as you know.

Hey, Glad to know there is some other younger ones around! I'm 14 as well and can't go a day without the woods. I have been out bowhunting 27 times and only seen 2 bucks while bowhunting!! but heck, its the thought that counts.. Good luck he will be back!!

congrats on seeing your first buck. ive been hunting about 6years now and I still remember the first buck I ever saw out of a stand. that buck was a 4pt also. just like you, i was shaking so bad i dont think i could of gotten a shot even if i wanted to. he came to within about 40yds but i was hunting witha recurve so it was way outta range. come to think of it, i was 14 also. sounds like we have the same story to tell....

Sound's as though your hanging in the right spot ,I've read that you've already gotten yourself a doe ,now you can choose the buck of your choice .Just be patient and the big boy will show sooner or later.
