trail cam?
 

I want to purchase a trail camera as a Christmas present and need some help as to which one to buy. Dicks sporting goods has a number of stealth cameras in stock, but I know I have read good and bad reviews depending on which one you buy. Any help would be appreciated.

I have two of the cheap models and I can't seem to get any pics at night and have had some troubles with centering. I would recommend going with at least one of the newer models of stealth cam. I myself will probably try a different brand.

If you read a good review about the 1.3 mp stealth it may have been from me before the temps dropped below 30 degrees. It'll still take day time pics but the flash dosn't cycle durring the night resulting in a memory card full of black pictures. on the bright side there is no developing.:D

Stealth hasn't stood behind their products either. If I were (and I will at some point) by again it'll not be a stealth. I like the idea of a homebrew. If you want a comercial unit the cuddleback looks to be a good unit. Double Creek has nothin but praise for his....

You get what you pay for and nobody is a finer example of this than is STEALTH! Cheap junk IMHO! :(

I've had no stealth problems at all.

Dad has had one for 2 years it messed up on rewinding, he called them, they said box it up and send it back, and they sent him a new one...never an issue.

PS I hope to get a couple more for Christmas and one is a digital stealth.

My bro in law and I both have a cuddeback and we love them. We have had them for about a year and have had well over 500 pics a piece. No problems at all. I dropped mine and knocked out a lense, sent it back and had it in my hands 10 days later.

The only negative is the night pics, the deer must be within a few yards to get a good look at him. The flash only seems good for about 10-20ft.

Seems alot of guys like the leaf river.
