Rocket "ultimate steel" test results/ kind of?

I had only one head to test with, and only one set of blade. For a good head this is useualy not a problem. This is not an actual test report, as I lost a blade on the first shot! Shooting into the tire, one fell out. I found the blade, and the back end that holds it in place was broken off. I shot the head into the steel drum with the remaining two blades. Both of those broke off after going through one side. I know why the head is loosing blades, they are very loose in the ferule, no matter how tight you screw them in the insert. Heck, they rattle when you shake the arrow! The accuracy was good despite the loose blades though. I am going to buy a three pack and see if these are put together any better. Maybe I just got a bad head? I sort of doubt that though. Right now I belive the "ultimate steel" is the worlds most exspensive field point! I don't recomend anyone buy any until I get another pack to test. If you have some I suggest you shoot them into a piece of plywood or other semi-hard material to see if they hold blades. I would also suggest you inspect each head for the blades being loose. One good point, it seems Rocket finaly found out how to get blades shaving sharp. To bad they don't stay in the head.
I want to thank Antler eater for sending the head, and for giving us all some insight on how this head preforms. I hope to get some new ones soon so I can be sure of my findings so far.

Interesting that what might have been the most interesting new fixed head offering, so far seems to be disappointing. Yet I'd like to think that rocket will get it right. It looks like a great design if it can be implemented.

I don't know how I missed this one.

Just as an update, I sent the blades that I could find from my testing and a letter to Rocket describing my findings as per a phone conversation with them. That was sometime in late July. So far I haven't heard anything back.
