I have some questions about different season hunting!!!!
 

Hey, im 14 years old and i went bow hunting alot this year and got a button buck which i thought was a doe at the time, and i now regret shooting..... But anyways, about late season hunting. In December is it a good time to be sitting on a tree line in between two nice sized woods.

And about early season hunting,when does the pre rut usually start,when should i start rattling, and what should i look for, for a good stand location???

CONGRATS on the deer bud! You should still be VERY proud of having the ability to take ANY deer with your bow. We've all been there, done that.... don't sweat it. Just chalk it up to experience and live and learn! Congrats again on the BOWkill!

Granted, the more you understand about what exactly the deer are doing in each woodlot the more educated you'll be on exactly where and when to sit up. Overall though, it should be a good strategy!


"when does the pre rut usually start".... for that we would need your location/state??? This date can vary greatly from region to region?
