morning or evening hunting in December?

Regarding December hunting, which have you found to be more successful - morning or evenings? Or maybe they are equal? Or do you prefer the 10 - 2 thing? (Again, I am talking about December and not the primary rut).

Personally i prefere the mornings. This is where I can cut the deer off from his night feedings back to his bedding area. The deer are feeding heavy this time of year trying to put their weight back on from the rut.

Then again who am I to say-havent been to succesful this year;)

I would say afternoon. It gets dark at 5:00 around these parts and they are getting out to eat a couple hours before that. I was driving today around 1:30 and 4 does crossed the road.

When it comes down to it, hunt whenever you can.

I would have to say mornings but not really because i prefer mornings its just that i have so little time to hunt! I always seem to have something else to do in the afternoon`s. You know? kids, wife, ect, ect[&:]

If it gets really cold then I would say afternoons. The morning is usually the coldest part of the day and it seems like the deer stay bedded down during the really cold parts of the day.
