Got My Illinois 2004 Archery Buck.. With Pic's

In late November I shot a 8 point buck.........I was hunting the edge of a bedding thicket that is a real pain to sneak into without getting busted. We see more bucks in here checking and chaseing does than anywhere else on the property so far, so it has become our honey hole. He came out of the thicket behind me and walked to a mock scrape I had made behind and to my left and after sniffing it he started walking to the mock scrape in front of me, at one point he walked under me , I had to look through the grate on the bottom of my stand to see him under my feet. I shot him for 25 yards and got a pass through but was questioning my shot since it seemed to hit a bit high.I blood trailed him till the blood ran out and I lost his trail after looking for hours and hours.... We have been back to look for him but didnt find him.... We went back again and went to the other side of the river and I FOUND HIM ... but the coyotes found him first:([:'(][:@] So the meat was a total loss:( And the meat and hide were spoiled so I couldnt even cape him for a shoulder mount.... I will do a real nice skull mount of him;)
Now we didnt have the camera with us but we did take the video camera so we got video footage of myself with my 8 point buck.........
HELP....Does anyone know where I can take the video footage and have them make photo,s from the video footage ??????????????
We did get some camera photos at home of myself with the buck head but we really want pics of me with the buck in the woods from the video footage.... My hubby took some really nice video footage.:)
After I spoke to Sony Tech I found out that my camcorder dosent work with computer ( its probably 8 years old) so I cant video link it... and to have a still pic made from the footage from a Video Production Company would cost a pretty pennie.
So we took some home head pics...... we even placed the buck head on a doe my husband took the next day on Illinois 2nd Shotgun season with his muzzleloader ... we wanted a pic that wasnt just a head pic.
They look alright but not the best... but OH WELL

Its been an awesome season, this year... I have taken A Turkey with my Bow, A 160 lb Doe with my bow and a 8 Point Buck with my bow.
There is still a massive typical very symetrical gorgeous 8 pointer whose main beams hook up severly on both sides I have seen on 4 occasions in the same bedding thicket and the closest he was to me was 27 yards but he has yet to offer a clean shot at him.... I hope to meet up with him again in the late season:D

Had almost the same thing happen a couple of years ago. Big 5 1/2 year old six point. Hit him a bit back and had to wait. Coys got to him but only the best roasts.

Might want to check with local geeks (CompUSA, etc.). Video capture is a big deal in high-tech. Depends on your own system. Sonic software lets you capture from a direct feed from vid cam.

Good luck.

Congrats, he's a nice buck. Too bad about the meat. When I looked at the pics the first time I didn't even notice it was separate. Good job.

This is a pic of the nice doe we used for some of the pics...... I have to give her some credit.... If it hadnt been for her I would of had nothing but head shots.
Was kinda funny that the day before he shot her I had found the perfect spot at the base of a tree that was growing 6 large trunks at the base with a hole just my size to sit inside it and have all the trunks hide me so I could video tape his hunt. But alas nothing came in range . I was tired the next morning after being up at 3:00am for 3 mornings in a row that I decided to pass on video tapeing his hunt the next morning, so he decided he liked the spot I had used for video tapeing so much that he set up there on the ground with my little tree seat you just strap to a tree and had this doe come to 30 yards in front of him when he shot her and he said her button buck walked by him at not 10 feet and never even saw him..... I told him " Can I pick a spot or what ":D;)
He said that is the closest he has ever shot a deer with the muzzleloader and the Button Buck was the closest a deer has ever come to him.

Hang in there Nubo ..... It Will Get Better For You.....:)
I know last year didnt pan out for me the way I wished it had.
I know it seems to make you feel so low sometimes when you feel youve practiced and practiced and finetuned and fiddled till the bow shoots perfectly and put forth so much hard work and time.... just to get skunked :( But there is light at the end of the tunnel........ just sometimes its not sooner than later. Getting skunked by the bucks one year makes you really all that more apreciative of what good ole mother nature and god are giving to you when you finally get that animal or just have an awesome day in the woods.
Just hang in there;)

The Muzzleloader Doe My husband shot we decided to give it all away, we shared it with people we work with, friends, family and various people that have supported our hunting efforts and never asked for anything in return........ it feels good to give something back to them that is a direct result of their support for our hunting way of life.:)
I ought to start a diet program like Atkins .... you eat nothing but Deer Venison....
Call it the Whitetail Wildlife Weight Watchers Diet;) used in conjunctor with a good exersie program of bowhunting,Hiking, tree climbing, Deer Dragging and lifting... outta be a real winner[8D];)

I live over in East Central Illinois ..Champaign/ Urbana Area.
I have been bowhunting with Larry and Phillyis and my Favorite Guide Dean at Hunting Unlimited Inc for the last 4 years in a row, and will be there bowhunting again in 2005.
Do you know Dean, I am the one that did the Sterling Silver and Turquoise Skull Mount of his buck he got there a while back. Larry had it on the wall in the lodge dinning room all last season and then took it to the Shows in PA.
I was one of 8 women that attended the 1st Womens Only Bowhunt and had such a great time that I have been going back every year since then.
They are some of the greatest people I know, and are a awesome outfitter, as a matter of fact I just spoke to Larry today... He emailed me to tell me to check out his new website. ....it looks great.... if you havent seen it lately check it out, he did some fun stuff with it.
Do you hunt with them or just friends with the Hanolds?
