What would you do? My landowner has informed me that he is going to poach on his land during shotgun hunting season. What do you do with that?

With all the deer in IL, why on earth would anyone need to poach?

You need to find a new place to hunt. I'm in Carlyle, by the way.

i would wait for him to tell a couple more people and then turn him in so he wont be sure who did it, imo there is no need to do that

I don't think you do anything until you see or hear evidence that he has in fact poached something. At that point you either make an anonymous call or leave it alone, whatever your conscience says you need to do. I honestly don't think I would intervene unless it was a blatant egregious violation of the law since you will most likely lose your hunting spot.

[:'(]I'm more conflicted than you all know... Not only would I lose my ONLY hunting spot, but it's such a small spot that his screwing around could ruin it for me for the rest of the year... [:@]

Part II, JMO. . . .While it may not be what others are suggesting here. . . .we need to teach the young and sometimes not so young on these forums by setting a proper example. So. . . .even though you may loose a hunting spot the RIGHT thing to do is find a way to make him stop.
