Fairfield Iowa???
 

I will be moving to Fairfield Iowa in 3 weeks. Can anyone give me any information about hunting in the area. I will be looking for somewhere to hunt deer/turkey and pheasant hunt with my son and our german shorthair pointer. Any information you could give me about public land, hunting clubs and or leases would be greatly appreciated.

Just a side note, I have been hunting since I was 8 years old, I am an ethical and safe hunter that has been teaching Illinois Hunting Education/Safety Course in Illinois for over 7 years.

I'm not sure where Fairfield is.Sound familiar.Is it up in the north central? Off Route 9 ?? I know someone east of Osage on Rt9

South eastern Iowa huh? Sorry can't help you much there. Most of my time has been spent in western or central iowa. Follow this link to the states Department of Natural Resources. It will give you some good information.

Great hunting down there.
I have a friend that lives there. Haven't seen him for a couple years but he is a big time hunting addict.
Easy to get land to hunt.
You'll love it there!

That is changing very rapidly. I am a county west of you (wapello). Your closest bowshop will be in Agency, IA. They are awesome. They have some size large critters too.
