Deer Cam Posts?
Is this the forum to talk about deer cam photos? I searched back several pages and did not see any posts here. So I thought maybe there was a separate forum but did not see anything when I went and looked. With me being new to the forum I thought I would ask because this topic may have been beaten into the ground in the past.
Anyways I just got a deer cam a week ago and have some awesome photos already. These things are amazing and way more fun than I thought it would be. I even find myself watching deer from my stand and hoping they walk in front of the camera since I was passing the shots on the does and 1 1/2 year old bucks. |

Antlergetter!
I have a Stealthcam MCG ?,but don't be alarmed ,the reason it was taking pic's of nothing was there was a branch in front of it hanging down and when the wind got up it kept taking pic's .I removed the branch and most of the problem was solved .Just make sure you have it above the long grass and below limb's and it'll be fine .I like the cam ,but i don't like the strap and casing because I've already broken the plastic buckel on the back of the casing .But this camera does take some good pic's . nubo |
RE: Deer Cam Posts?
OK I will post a few. First of all, I have the Leaf River Digital cam. None of these photos are going to win any prizes, but keep in mind I have only had the cam for 1 week. Also, the cam is setup in my 20 acre woodlot behind my house. This woods is not connected to any larger woodlots so I was a little suprised to have so much activity on the deer cam. I hunt these woods after work some and on weekends but do my "serious" hunting when I take vacation and head to the big woods in Southern Ohio.
I am keeping stats and here is what I have after one week: - 106 total pictures - 47 deer pics - 31 turkey pics - 20 empty pics - 8 "other" pics (cats, racoons, me going to my stand, LOL) I think this is the first picture taken, also the date was not set right for my first batch of photos: ![]() |

And lastly, a close up shot. Some people wonder if the flash scares the deer. I do not have enough experience to know anything yet, but I guarantee this fawn was walking around blind for a little while, LOL:
