I would put a rubberband around them and put them in a bag of salt for a couple of weeks. Taxidermist will freeze dry them or skin them and put them on a form but you can get away with the salt method.

I personally would save the time and trouble and go pay the $20 it would cost for a taxidermist to do it. I don't think they will last very long if not properly treated. Mine had to be sent out for tanning. The most expensive part is the board that they are mounted on. You can do the board yourself and save extra $$.
