Default SteelForce and Magnus Stingers Broadheads (UPDATE..NEW STINGER HEADS FOR NEXT YEAR INSIDE!!)

Over the past 2 years I have seen and butchered 5 deer shot with these heads. 4 by SteelForce and 1 by Magnus Stinger 4 blades.

I have also butchered 1 deer shot by a WASP JAK HAMMER mechanical.

The SteelForce heads and Magnus Stingers are just plain AWESOME!!!!!! Both these heads offer everything you could ever want a broadhead to do. Maximium penetration.....scarey sharp blades.......brutal wound channels........and they fly like fieldpoints (I swear my Stingers fly BETTER then field tips)

The deer killed by the SteelForce heads were 2 bucks and 2 does.......none went farther then 70 yards and all had great blood trails. Complete passthroughs on every shot and they were shot from bows set at 60 and 62 lbs both of which shoot under 240 fps. The Stinger never even slowed down and was stuck in the ground about 6-8 inches when I pulled it out..........that was from a Patriot at 275 fps though Actually one shot wasn't a passthrough...........A SteelForce head destroyed the spine of one of the bucks dropping it in his tracks.

If there is a negative to a cut on contact style broadhead I have yet to find it. One I thought of was how tough would those blades be if they hit bone. I don't wonder about that anymore after seeing what it did to that bucks spine.

I have heard many negatives concerning the SteelForce serrated edge design but I am here to tell you they perform outstanding on deer.........I have seen less damage from 12 gauge slugs.

I highly encourage anyone out there searching for a broadhead to at least try one of these heads out. My personal preference of the Stingers is simply because they offer replaceable blades and I like to shoot my broadheads a lot and right up to when I go hunt so it is convenient to just pop in some new blades whenever you want.

Just felt like doing a little mini review based on personal experience

BTW........the deer I butchered killed by the WASP head had plenty of damage done to kill him. Just no passthrough and a TOUGH blood trail. The day I came to the end of that frustrating blood trail was the day I decided to switch to a broadhead that would give maximum penetration because looking for a deer with 2 holes in him is better then looking for a deer with 1 hole in him

These are the SteelForce heads with the serrated edge I am talking about.

The HellFire series I believe

HOLY FREAKIN' CRAP!!!!!!!!

This is as weird as it gets!! I just went to Magnus's website to grab a pic of the Stingers to post here and what do I see???

A NEW MAGNUS STINGER HEAD...........WITH SERRATED BLADES!!!

This is a bizarre coincidence.

They are called the Stinger BUZZ-CUT

I am gonna have to check these bad boys out real soon

I can't imagine a head better then the Stinger but we will see. I think they look great.

I've used the Steelforce for 3 years now and love them ,but those new magnus Buzz Cut's might just have to be my next offering to the deer in my wood's .

I like my stingers, but I also like being able to keep them hair cutting sharp.
How do you sharpen a serrated edge?

I agree. My Stingers are a great head, but I have no desire for a serrated edge.

crossed over from steel force to muzzy's, I didn't like the weak tip on the "original" steel force....

I shot my first deer at 20 yds, and it didn't penetrate but 2 or 3 in, because the primary blade bent upon hitting the first rib!
