2004 Massachusetts Archery Deer
 

Taken with my Bowtech Black Knight. 185 lbs dressed 8 points on the left and 4 points on the right. Right side antler growth was reduced due to a old injury to the left side of the deer. (Broken left leg) .

What county did you shoot him in, if you don't mind me asking?

bbahunter I got him in Plymouth County, hunting down here on the south shore has really improved with a lot of quality bucks being taken. Here are three Pope and Young bucks I have taken with the bow . The two on the left are from Ma. and the one on the right is from Western CT. Housatonis State Forest. I really think if you do your homework ( Alot of winter scouting) you can take some big bucks in any Ma. county.

Those are some very impressive deer!
You are right, iam hearing about more and more P&Y quality bucks being taken in the eastern and south east counties.

GREAT DEER, YES MA. DOES HAVE SOME NICE DEER IVE HUNT SOUTHAMPTON -+ WESTFIELD , IAM STILL AFTER THIS BIG BOY THAT I SEEN FROM OPENING WEEK SAW HIM LAST YEAR IN M/L, BUT MY M/L WAS BROKE HAD MY BOW AND HE WAS OUT AT 55 YARDS AND DIDNT WANT TO TAKE THE SHOT EVEN I PRATICE AT THAT DISTANCE , FOUND THE DEERS CORE THIS YEAR, ALL TORE UP RUBS EVERYWHERE BUT WE JUST CANT SEEM TO MEET EACH OTHER AT THE SAME TIME,,THOSE ARE SOME EXCELLENT MOUNTS YOU HAVE ,GOOD LUCK THE REST OF THE SEASON!!!
