Is there a sound file or something where I can hear this doen properly? My friends do it without a call, they just make the sound with their mouth and i guess it works for them. Does one sound work better than another?
Regarding a drag line for doe estrous, should i make a big circle in the morning before i go in my stand that leads in front of my stand or should i just hang a cotton ball in a shooting lane? If I walk around dragging some scent Im thinking I could spook or jump a buck before I go hunting..
Would rattling be OK to do in the same day as estrous/bleating? What time of the day and how often/how far apart should each be done?
Thanks

I've never had much luck with a doe bleat and in over 20yrs in the woods, I have never heard a doe make an estrous bleat. Maybe I hunt the wrong places....
I have also never had much luck with drag rags. I think the buck will pick up your scent eventually and shy away from the trail.
I have had luck with just hanging a cotton ball and getting about 30yds away from it, letting the wind blow the scent towards the deer.
Rattling is hit or miss. I have probably rattled close to 100 times on stand, with about 5 successes. The only real reason I carry the horns is to coax a distant buck that I am laying eyes on into range. But then again, I have had luck cold calling.
IMO, the grunt call is the magic charm for bowhunters as I have grunted in and arrowed 2 bucks in the last 2 years.
With all that being said, understanding deer movement and then intercepting that movement is the best way to harvest bucks, all the calls, scents, etc will only get you so far. Used in conjunction with a good setup, they can be awesome. Good luck

JR, I was referring to a buck grunt. Sometimes they are unbelievable, other times the deer ignore them. But one thing is for sure, I will NOT enter the woods without by grunt call.

About the drag line. I have had good luck with this IF and I mean IF you don't use to much. Most of you manufactured sense are too strong. If you use what the bottle tells you too it will fun off all deer. when I use just a few drops on a pad and drag it to a tree about 20 yards from my stand and hang it there. I may sound anile but I only touch things with gloves on as well.
