Would an arrow pass through the ribs? or do you have to shoot where the ribs aren't? Now that i think about it there is a diagram of a deers vitals somewhere on this site, i'm going to go check it out now. but still answer my question if you can, thanks

If your shooting lighter setup you will still blow through a rib. If you happen to hit one square on the entrance and square on the exit you may not passthrough but it will do just as much damage.

I though we were talking eats here! I just finished off a rack of ribs donated to me by ms. hog. Ummm. ribs...
If you smack a deer in the ribs you will surely get to the goodies. I always inspect the wound channel left by my arrow and desrtoying a rib on each side is normal. Deer ribs are pretty light weight bones when compaired to those of cattle and hogs.
