Crapping away the season

Bought all the latest gizmos related to scent control..
Use so many cover scents that my wife can't remember what I smell like.
Even bring a bottle to the stand to pee in..
But haven't found the solution to No # 2.
On Saturday, when the urge hit, I managed to get only about 100 yards from my stand..
Probably ruined the stand location for the season.
Like everyone else, I get the system working early (coffee etc) and it normally works before I go hunting. But because I like to stay out all day.. this happens at least a few times per year and usually at my favorite stand.

My buddy says that human urine and waste don't bother the deer as much as the basic human smell. I don't believe him..

Question in all seriousness: What do other "all day" hunters do ? Why mess with all the other scent stuff, if you can't controle this part ? For how long did I ruin my top location?

Personally I wouldn't worry about it. Bring a small shovel if it is really bothering you. Otherwise start eating a lot of cheese :D

I really don't think you ruined your top location at all. if you are worried about that happening next time dig a little hole go there then bury it with some cedar chips or something. but I don't think deer link crap and humans together but then I am not a whitetail expert. I usually don't have to go when I sit all day. I go before I leave and when I get done hunting. make sure you don't eat anything the day before that will effect you in a bad way the day you sit, also I know for me coffee is bad I never drink coffee the morning I am hunting or that day at all, and don't bring food to your stand that will go right through you. But if you have to go you have to go and like I mentioned just bury it with cedar chips or something like that. Good Luck.

Wear depends and test your scent-lok suit.

I dunno but there is nothing worse than crapping in the woods, especially when you are adorned in blaze orange for all to see.

Put it to work for you. Utilize it as a path deviator or the invisible hunting partner. Drop it so the deer will walk around it and towards your stand!! It may take some work to figure out the exact location to drop it but it may payoff.

I know a guy that shot the best deer of his life while taking a whiz. Deer are curious sometimes. He actually shot it while his pants were down around his ankles he said. "Now that's funny, I don't care who ya are!"

A few years back there was a picture in the paper of a monster 15 point that a kid killed locally. Later word got around from people he knew that he was smokin a joint whenever the big guy walked in. I guess deer really can be curious sometimes.

I wouldn't think a deer is going to pay too much attention to your pile of crap. 100 yards is a pretty good piece. Rain is going to wash it away anyway. What about all the piles of coyote crap out there? Maybe you could take 2 scent-lock hats with you; 1 to crap in and 1 to cover it up.:D;)

PS: I can't believe someone hasn't posted the infamous Davidmil picture yet!

i wouldnt think deer would tell the difference between human crap n other animal's. i mean crap smells like crap for the most part. and as far as peein', it seems like everytime i pee while in the stand within the next hour i see deer, so IMO i dont think the deer pay much attention to the waste i mean they're around animal waste every day.
