Muzzy's Do the Trick!!!
I finally was able to harvest a doe Saturday Morning!!!! To make a long story short, I busted someone trying to sneek onto the property I hunt. The person was headed right for the stand I was in. I tried to stop him without saying any words, but apparently he did not get the hint. So I finally stopped him with a few "nice words of encouragement", and sent him on his merry way!!! I thought that was it for that morning. However, at daybreak I hit the can call and brought in a small 4 pointer. He messed around a little then went on. I hit it again, and he came back. I let him get pretty far away, and was ready to hit the can call again, but here come another small buck. I watched him for sometime, when all of a sudden here come 3 does with a small buck right on their tails. He chased and grunted, chased and grunted at them. It was awesome to witness that in the woods. Anyway, he chased a doe right under my stand. She was standing 12 yards to my left quartering away. I found an opening in the tree, put my pin on her, and "let the Muzzy eat"!!! I doubled lunged her, and she went 50 yards. I did not have time to take pictures. I had to get her to the processor, and then off to a soccer game!!!! The rut is really starting to kick in here in SW Ohio and SE Indiana!!!!
