Help deer tracking

About an hour ago 3 mins before season closed the buck i was after came 20 yards away. I let him get in a open spot grunt n let it fly. I heard it wack. But it was too dark to see where my arrow flew. He deer hopped up then took off. Stopped about 50 yards then flowed the doe out it follwed in. Waited 30 minutes n couln't find my arrow or blood within 50 yards. I thought itd be best to wait tell morning. Any suggestions.

This is my first year bowhunting. I pratice 20 yards shots right before i went out n was hitting perfect. I put my pin right on. I heard the wack too. It was soo dark though. I mean 27 minutes after sunset its almost dark. I've see this buck 3 times this year n im sooo pump right now, and scared i missed.
Is it normal for them not to sprint away, and not be able to find blood within 30-40 yards? or does that mean i missed

I shot a buckmastes g2 bow. Im shooting 500 eastan carbon evol. 100gr steel force hellfire broad heads. Pull 55-60lbs and have 27in draw. Im only 16 if that helps too.

my best tip is to follow the blood don't go off trying to figure where the deer went follow the blood till you find it or it runs out it maybe small but there is blood there look ,look ,look

Well, if you missed the arrow would be stuck in ground..

You said the deer kicked? did it kick its hindlegs in the air?

was it a loud smack.??

you might have hit the shoulder bone... but its hard to tell..

I would wait till morning, and find the spot where you hit the deer and thenstart looking for blood and tracks.. you should beable to follow his tracks through the leaves...

RE: Help deer tracking (Update) not the worse thing

All i gotta say found my arrow stuck in a tree "the Wack" About 5 ft from where the deer was standing and 5ft higher. The arrow was completly clean. Go up in my stand cuz still have 45 mins before i had to rush to school. I moved my stand Friday nite n didn't get time to make really good shooting lanes. Replyed the shot n found about a 1/4 little branch on a little tree infront of be cut on the path of my shot. Sat there for that 45mins saw the little buck the big ones been chasing off take the same trail. Went back tonite to cut that damn tree down. Then saw 1 buck n 3 does. Buck was a fork. This is my first year bowhunting gotta say this it is real hunting. Not like slug hunting here in Iowa. I just hope i get this one before the old guys do lol
