Lots of circumstances to factor in (arrow weight, broadhead type, KE, angle of shot, etc.) There is no definite answer to your question. I have no experience with hogs but I'm going to say NO. Just because I would doubt it on deer.

RE: head shot

That's funny you ask. I shot a hog in Guam in the side of the head. It came out right at dark and gave me a 10 yard shot. I thought I was on his chest, but ended up hitting him in the head. He went down and was quiet. I walked up to him and he tried to get up after me. I took off, but he wasn't chasing me. I came back again and same thing happened. I gave him 5 minutes and walked up to him with my bow drawn. I shot him again and he expired. The arrow broke off so I couldn't pull it out. After butchering him, I threw his head in the jungle for a month to let the bugs do their thing. When I came back to get the skull I found my Thunderhead 125 buried in his brain pan! You would never have thought he could live with a hit like that.

I do know that it will penetrate the skull on deer anyway I guy that I used to work with did it once he said that it was the only shot he had and tried it went right down
