Congratulations-I took my 1st Doe on the 12th-1st since early 1980s. I have 2 antlerless bonus tags for this year & just filled this one with a good adult Iowa Doe. 1 Antlerless & 1 Buck Tag left.

I passed on these at 15 yards-had 2 Does pass with 5 fawns from this year(3 button bucks & doe doe fawns). Only seeing small bucks & have passed on several of them "REAL" close. Good luck to all.

Not so sure about that.

The arrow hit the spine before it continued through to the guts. There's no doubt that it ended up there BobCo. A gutshot deer in my mind is a deer that was shot in the guts. That one was shot in the spine.

I understand completely and I truly congratulate you on your deer.

But, I would also caution you on the shot selection.
