No wonder we haven't seen you around much!
Hey stealth, great story, great hunt, and two awesome bucks! Sounds like you and your dad had some great fun. Looking forward to seeing you around the politics room again. I'm sure you'll have a story or two from the hunt. Great job bro!

logs - I had a goal for 2004, kill an AR buck and KS buck with my longbow and a muzzleloader elk. I got my elk, come close to my AR buck and went with my Dad's compound to kill this non-typical whitetail in KS. Hunting with my 70 year old Dad in Colorado wilderness and then again in KS and him taking the biggest whitetail of his life ? Heck, can't be much better of a year IMO. I'll be longbowing it for whitetails in AR some more this year I think - try to get back in the saddle with my longbow. A compound might be in my future again though
The deal with my KS hunting is each year I gotta shoot for bigger bucks. I killed a 125" 8 pointer my first year, didn't score my 2nd year, last year I got a 140" 11 pointer and this year was sooooo close to a 160" 10 pointer and that huge B&C buck ........ then took the freaky buck pictured here. I'd have shot him 1st day though, really unique rack and I've never seen a non-typical in the field and might not again for a long time !
Next year is going to be tough hunting ! I'll have to hold out for 150" and above whitetails and although I'll likely see them, getting within 25 yards is a whole 'nother ballgame !

I think the greatest thing about this season is the fact the your Dad at 70 has been about to spend this time hunting in CO and agian in KS. Hunting together has to make it better for both of you.
I know a couple of guys in their mid 60's who still hunt with the bow and always wonder how long I'll be able to spend enjoying the sport.
Now I have a bench mark, your Dad. If I can maintain my health I hope to be out there at 70 chasing the Game.
Agian, great for the both of you.
