I'm trying a new broadhead, right in the middle of bow season. YIKES!! I went to my bow shop & was talking with the owner. He's an older gentleman who I trust. He said I should switch from Spitfire to Double Whammy (100 grain) , a brand new broadhead that he has switched to.
He carries things in his shop that he has tested and likes.
He said I don't pull back enough weight to make the spitfire effective. I pull 50#'s.
Have any of you ever tried double whammy? I will practice with them tomorrow & see how I like them. Just wondered if anyone else had used these.

I took two pics of them....from different angles.......
My bow guy said he liked them because the blade was thick (.048"), and they flew as his practice blades did. I'll see about the flying true tomorrow. Anxious to see if it's true.

how'd they shoot, that would be my first consideration, i alway have extra shafts lying around that i could try new stuff, they do look nice, but i sure hate changing in season;)

Good luck,I switched this year from fixed to spitfires and they worked great.But My poundage is considerably higher then yours

They appear as they would be an effective hear as a modified cut on contact. The front blades to aid penetration and act as a bleeder for the main blades to do the dirty work.

I would concur with the flight characteristics your shop told you. They appear to have a low profile and should fly well out of your bow. Pending your bow is in tune.

Well, I just tested them. They fly great! Very Straight...In fact, a little embarrassed to admit this,but, I just knocked my notch off & sliced my fletching,duh:eek:
