Buck Location

Hi All,
I've been out in the woods 4-5 times so far. I just saw 2 does passing by and no shooters. I decided to scout the area a little bit better to look for rubs/scrapes etc.. In the places that I usually found some rubs, in the past years, there was no activity. I looked all over the area that I hunt with no luck. Does this mean that there is no bucks in the area? From what I hear the rut started. I hunt in Upstate NY (southern zone).
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Grkhunter,
I'm sure there are bucks in the area. Plus if the area holds does, the bucks will come cruising. Hang tight and keep your confidenec the boys are very active right now.

I live in USNY Too (Ontario County) I've been hunting quit a bit all season. Just saw my first 3 scrapes opened up when I went out last night...slow start this year overall...of course the weather isn't helping us either.

Gotta agree. Very slow around here. Very few deer taken. Seems like the warm weather and rain this year really messed up their patterns...
