To late to go to stand?
 

Just wondering your opinions on when its to late to go to your stand in the evening?

Right now the sun sets at 6:17 PM I like to be in my stand by 3:00 PM. Thats not always possible! The earliest I've seen deer moveing is 4:50.

So how late is to late?

when the sun is going down!!! Then its too late. if your in a good wind direction and you can sneek in to a stand instead of bringing a climber and taking the time to set up then its worth it. Ive killed deer while being in the stand for only 10minutes.

I always try to get in the woods with atleast a couple hours till dark.

I agree that you need to be in stand at least a couple hours before sunset,I've been in the bush at 3:00pm and seen deer walking around by 3:30pm.
