4 blade muzzy's flight

I have always shot spit fire expandable broadheads but I recently lost a buck of a lifetime on a marginal shot, my buddy has talked me into the muzzy as he has had great success w/ the muzzy. My only question is are they going to fly like my field point so I don't have to mess w/ my sights. I am thinking of going w/ the 4 blade instead of the 3 blade as I have heard they tend to fly try and don't pain and sail because the onl have a 1 inch cut. has anyone tryed th 4 blade and what are the rusults

thanks for any help you can give me!!!!

I have both the 3 blade and the 4 blade Muzzy's 100gr. I honestly cannot see a difference in flight between them. They both hit right in with my field points.

thanks for your experience w/ them, I found a couple of testimonials on the yahoo search, and they all said they flew just like their field tips as far as 60 yards out on elk, not that I will be taking a 60 yard shot. Well I am exited to try them out. thanks again.

I use both and I shot a pheasent @ 20 yards w/4 blade. Perfect flight! I have noticed the 3 blade will stray a bit! Could be my imagination! JMO

I use the 3 blad 100 grain. If I fire more than one at the target at a time, I have a good chance of having to get my arrow's refletched, or replace the knock, or even the arrow.

first off im sorry to hear your story about losing your buck of a lifetime, one tip i can give you to get your muzzys and any other fixed blade broadheads to fly is PAPER TUNE YOUR BOW!!!, it is not a hard or long process and if you are not sure how to do it take your bow to your local proshop and they can help you out in extensive studies that we did with 5 different bows and arrow setups the single difference between broadheads flying like field points or not flying like field points was simply an out of tune bow.

You'll be lucky if they hit the same as field point right off the bat. I had to do some palying aroud with my nock to get mine within 2 inches of my field points. They hit a little low. I shoot a fast bow at high poundage and that makes things a little more critical. I used to own a bunch of Spitfires and gave most away. I keep talking to people who have had malfuntions with them and don't have much faith in them anymore. If I was to use a mech I would go with either a Snyper or Rocket Steelhead.

excellent heads. Great accuracy, tough and penetrate well. They leave big holes and nice blood trails.

RE: 4 blade muzzy's flight

I have shot 4 blade 90 grain muzzy's for about 4 years now. I like them a lot for striaght flight but blood trails werent always as good as I would have hoped. I tried a 3 blade muzzy 100 grain a couple weeks ago and it flew striaght also but more blood...thats just my experience.
