RE: Another good season

Thanks all. It's actually nice to be home for a change. With work and hunting I was gone for nearly 4 weeks.

Turkey Fan, I really don't spend too much on hunting. The perks of being an Alaskan I guess. I've taken a cinnamon black bear, three caribou and a mule deer so far this year. Hopefully I'll add a moose soon, and I've got one more caribou tag that I have till April 30th to fill. I can take 4 a year since I proxy hunt for my family. I took 2 bulls in 30 seconds on the 1st of August for freezer fillers, but that was with a 300 win mag. I took a cinnamon black bear on the last night of our hunt this spring in south east Alaska with a 375H&H, but right after I put the bow away for the trip. I shot him from less than 30 yards... go figure.

I get all this time off due to my work rotation. I work 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off in the oilfields in Prudhoe Bay. Currently I'm living in Las Vegas due to my wife going to college at UNLV, so I am making the most by driving back and forth to various states for short hunts. So far I have done Colorado last October for elk, and Oregon this year for mulies and elk.

I still don't get our nearly enough though. [8D]
