Use Baking Soda to Remove Odors?

My brother read about using baking soda on clothes to remove odors in an old Dwight Scuh book. Put clothes in plastic bag with the baking soda and shake. Wondered how effective this is?

i dont know of anything like that but how about this?

Mix baking soda and distilled water in a spray bottle at a ratio of 50:50. Then spray on your clothes....

Another one:

Take some cedar boughs, pine needles or sage boughs and put in pot. Make sure to get a lot! Cover with water. Boil for at least 1 hour. The longer it boils the more concentrated it gets. Pour off the liquid and place in a spray bottle. When going hunting spray yourself with your homemade cover scent.

try these instead of buying your stuff.

I started using baking soda 20 years ago been doing it ever since. I wash my bowhunting clothes at the start of the season with it and put them in a bag.

I will wash my hunting cloths in baking soda once or twice a year and keep my cloths in a plastic garbage bag or plastic tote container with some pine or cedar boughs:)
