I thought lymph nodes were the black granule like things inside the body cavity. I usually see them around the pelvic area after cleaning the deer in preparation for cutting it up.

i would send the pic to ur local dnr to find out for shure thay will be able to tell u exacty what it is "maybe the deer has canser" who knows. just my opinon(sp)

hornbow the black things you are refereing to are hemal nodes, seems both hemal nodes and lymph nodes are very common to most areas of mich i see both every year ,, and there have been times where both types are in a deer,, just more info for everyone
