Riddle me this....

A couple days ago I was on stand and shot a 80 lb. sow. After hunting for another hour or so I got down and found my prize. When I was cleaning her up I noticed that I had shot her on the right side. I then though, I always shoot everything on the right side. Once home I looked through all the pics of deer and such and sure enough, They were all shot on the right side. I don't wait for that particular shot oppertunity it's just the way it is.

Anyone else have a shot fettish they need to admit?

:) Congrats. on the sow Greavous and we might need Batman to unlock this riddle. The dominant side of your preys has always provided you with a right side shot, pretty interesting:eek:

Nice sow. Although hard on the enviroment, I kinda wish PA had wild hogs....good eatin and another game animal to have opportunity on.

Riddle: Hhhmm I'm going with your setup, wind always the same direction in Texas.;) It's always blowing east and your setup on the north side of the trail?[8D]

As with most states, the weather is beyond prediction. The winds in south Texas are somewhat of an exception during the winter. If your setup is southwest to northeast you can hunt with a favorable wind most of the time. A west wind is not common so playing that knowledge helps a lot. When the dreaded west wind blows I usually move to a ground blind I have assempled this summer.

Trails here don't seem to be well defined and the deer I have seen have all just wondered in from who knows where. Keep in mind I'm hunting in very dense 12-15' tall mesquite thicket for miles and miles. We cut senderos (clear the woods) to make some viewable area and sit in tripod stands. I guess all the shots on the right side is just a quirk of mine. I'll make a point to shoot somebody on the left next time just to prove to myself it can be done.

How's this for an exit wound? 125 gr. Spitfire at 23 yards. Buckets of blood!
