I'm proud to say that the mystical flight of the arrow connected tonight on a mature whitail doe. I have seen this doe come to my feeder 3 times before tonight but she just never gave me the right shot, it was always something, just behind a limb or the smaller does were just in front or behind her, just always something until tonight. Made an 18 yd shot right behind the shoulder with a 100 gr wasp jackhammer, shooting a Fred Bear TRX 32 at 70lbs. I let my first arrow fly for the season and connected, I heard the thug and she bolted, watch her get out of sight and heard her crash. Gave her about 15 minutes got down and found my arrow, complete pass through with bright red and pink blood covering the entire shaft (YES!) didnt even look for a blood trail just started looking for her in the direction of the crash I heard, and found her piled up in some brush about 50 yds from where she was hit. Not 15 seconds and she was down, in a very humanely way, she did not suffer at all. Just your average 90lb mature Texas hill country whiteail doe. The beast is dead long live the beast. He He ! Man I got to stop watching uncle Ted, LOL.
