Acorns everywhere
 

Hey everyone,
Here in my area of West Virginia the acorn crop hit pretty hard. There seem to be plenty of deer but they are spread way out. Any suggestions on hunting the early part of the season when the acorns are plentyful and the deer are spread out?

I would concentrate on White Oak. If you can find it in an area with decent cover, especially close to bedding areas, I think that you will find a hot spot. Look for oak in areas of natural funnels, such as near a drain or saddle. Remember, bucks usually follow the easiest past with the best cover.
