Whatever happened to the Albia Buck?

Does anyone know what the deal was on the Albia Buck? It was supposed to be the world record right? Who did the kid sell the rights to and how much did he get for them? Has this been discussed before?

My understanding is he sold the mount to Bass Pro. Don't know what he got for it but I guess he will be able to go to college with no worries.
