What do you think the reason for mid season lull is?
I'm sure most people experience this on their hunting grounds. Opening weekend you see a ton of deer and then for the next couple of weeks it dies down before rut. Do you think that it because hunters spook them and they hide until rut until they have to move, Or maybe because the leaves are falling and they don't feel as secure, or there feeding patterns change? Whats your opinion?

I don't think you can generalize a lull. I haven't hit one yet. Perhaps we as hunters are more careful too watch scent control and wind direction, all the little things, when a season is new. As the season progresses maybe we take them for granted?

RE: What do you think the reason for mid season lull is?
1) The shock of hunting pressure
2) Biological clock says to slow down and prepare for the rut 3) Leaves Fall 4) Change in food source |

I don't usually see a lull. Now after the rut....they all but disappear where I hunt.
