other way!
So here is what I come up with. You were hunting a strip 200 yards wide, you have your sent out to draw them in on one side. Could you put a sent on the ground on the other side so they would not go that way. Could this work? They could turn your way or the other? I mean to realy keep them out! Moth balls, Scare crow with your motherinlaws face?I'm talking turn them and send them your way. What would you use?

By far one of the most confusing post I have ever read!

RE: other way!
It sounds as if you're trying to funnel the deer towards your stand. If that's the case a high chainlink fence would work. I think I'd locate a natural funnel and make my setup there.

RE: other way!
Mahoningbuck don't be confused. If you should find a bunch of mothballs under your tree stand you'll know I'm hunting the other side of the property.

RE: other way!
I understood it completly. I've had it happen. Seen a real nice buck cross my trail, I guess since the scent was stronger when I first put it on, he made a right instead of left. He just keep going through the yard and across the street.
I don't think you can be sure of anything. That's why it's fun and frustrating all in one. |
RE: other way!
A thin line of human hair is your answer. Just go to the barber shop...they usually have a little hair laying around. People use hair to keep deer out of their gardens.

I heard of a guy who tied a sweaty sock to a rope and drug it across the field he was huntin on to get the buck to angle towards his stand, Worked like a charm.
