Thanks. It seems that just yesterday I posted his picture on this site in a baby camo onesie. I had to prop him up in the corner of the couch and quickly snap the picture. Now he's sitting next to me holding on to a buck's antler;). Time sure flies.

Per the butcher, the estimated live weight would have been in the 190s. He's got a fat neck, too. Something I would expect from a deer with more points on his rack and a few weeks later in the season. Maybe he's an older buck with crappy genetics.

Thanks, guys. I have a couple of doe tags to fill. It will be even more fun up at buck camp this year. I can sleep in and push the bush for my buddies. If I see a doe while I'm out there, I have more meat for the freezer. I'll miss being out there in the rut looking for big boy but I'll just have to shoot him with a camera until next year.

Although his Antlers don't look that big ,he's a very solid looking buck Barnes,nothing wrong with that deer at all .Congrat's to you and look's like you've got yourself a buddy to hunt with when he get's a little older .
