RE: Your odor from that mouth
But I have been contemplating purchasing a scentlok mask. I know that it might give me a little more confidence even if it doesn't work 100%.
Has anyone used one of these?

C'mon, if a deer is close enough to smell your breath, shouldn't he have an arrow in him? This topic always blows my mind.
To my knowledge, not one of my friends or acquaintances has ever spooked a deer by exhaling. Some of their breath is pretty nasty even without coffee.
Not something I'll ever pay any attention to.

If you don't think a deer can smell your breath from distances further than bow range, your underestimating a deers nose. Your breath and hair are two of the biggest culprits when getting scented by a deers nose. We can clean our hair and body with scent eliminators but your breath is another story.

Sorry guys. Been hunting for thrity years and killed many, many deer with bow, shotgun and muzzleloader. Bucks chasing does, does feeding through, yearlings following mom, and on and on.
Never once can I say that the fact that I didn't brush my teeth ever hurt my hunt. (I always brush my teeth by the way.) I don't want to fire anyone up, do what you want to do...but to me, it seems silly to worry about my breath.
Sure it is moist and has scent. I just don't see how any bad breath can alarm a deer. Maybe it can, just not by my experience. If I use lysterine, scope or chew dentyne, wouldn't that smell more like a person than halatosis?
One last point, have you ever smelled Tinks 69? If they like that, maybe the deer like bad breath just as much. Could turn the scent industry on it's ear!

I know for a fact that I spooked one of the biggest deer I have seen because I began to hyperventilate after watching it for a couple of minutes. One gust of my taco breath from lunch was all it took for him to vacate the area. I seriously believe her would have ended up in my lap had I not exhaled with my mouth open. The deer was 40 yards out.

if you're that worried about your breath to take these precautions what are you doing about your farts?

I like to grab a squirrel on the way in and lick him. Deer are used to the smell of squirrels. Oh, the squirrel will fight at first but he likes it too!

I know scent is an important thing to mask, but c'mon. What do you guys do when you have to fart? Not everyone can afford the luxury of scent control suits to mask the methane from the butt.
