i hunt public land far from any houses so they lay where they are, if i hunted clsoer to civilization i may do something to get rid of them.

I've tried the liver and the heart and don't care for it. I've always dragged the deer so I don't leave a gut pile in the middle of a trail or field where other people(non hunters) might have to encounter it.

We usually leave all but the liver where it is. We take the liver to the landowner who feeds it to his cats.

I drag it off a little ways and hang a stand over it.Wild pigs will come a running.Especially in the early season when it gets a little smell to it.

i leave them where i gut them...i usually dont pick them apart too much, though i alwyas examine the heart and lungs for bullet holes and or shrapnel.. we usually have plenty of coyotes, foxes, skunks, oppossums, racoons, Bald Eagles, or vultures that clean them up.we have bald eagles that live on both our properties in wisconsin and iowa and they usually get the piles in teh fields.
