I was asked to join 2 friends hunting 1000 private acres in Savanna Illinois. I have never been there before. Anyone have any info about this area.

Right now I hunt Tazewell, Adams and Brown counties.

Outstanding area, very Hilly in the Non-Glaciated part of IL....Very Scenic as well.....only down side is it is highly Pressured.....High Numbers and Large Deer as well. You have cause to get excited thats for sure.

I'll probably be there fishing this weekend and may try to find some public land from the Ole Mis.

Awesome, awesome area to hunt. Lots of deer, and plenty of big bucks. My two biggest came within 15 miles of Savanna, and I've seen several B&C class deer over the years.

I wish I could find another spot to go in JoDaviess County. :(

I hunt woodford county, and as mentioned before it is very pressured. [:'(]

I shot several large whitetails when I was a teenager growing up in Whiteside Co., Illinois., I hunted about 20 miles south of Savanna. My biggest whitetail to date was shot on a farm north of Morrison.
