asheville N.C. info needed
 

How is the deer hunting there? My friend is moving there in two weeks. he does not hunt, but I have a place to stay if it is worth the trip from New Hampshire. any ideas on tag cost for deer? Thank you for any info. will check the states fish and game site...

I moved to the Charlotte NC area about 4 years ago from western NY. The deer here a smaller than what I'm used to.

I haven't hunted near Asheville, so I can't tell you anything about the area from personal experience, however, here is a link to a map from the NC Wildlife Commission that should be self-explanatory ...

i live 30 minutes north of asheville and the deer hunting is a lot better in the eastern part of the state, or the chapel hill area than here.
