Calls in general

What are all of the calls most of you use on opening day/weekend? I have seen several posts about fawn bleats and contact grunts. What exactly does a fawn bleat sound like? I have experimented with the fawn bleat but not sure if that is what it is supposed to sound like. I think it sounds like a noise that would send deer hightailing the other direction. And also a contact grunt, is that just a mild grunt once in a while. This opening weekend stuff is to difficult. We should start in the rut so i can go hog wild with my rattles and grunt call!!!! Its much easier!! Thanks in advance, and good luck this upcoming season to all!!!

When I fawn bleat, it typically sounds very similar to a sheep blatting just not quite as much of a change in tone as a sheep, and a bit shorter. Hope that helps.
