Bow weight

I've been shooting traditional equipment for ever but was wondering what is the average bow weight you wheel guys are shooting. When the compound first came out the big selling point was that you could reduce your bow weight and still be more efficient than with the longbows/recurves. Just a morbid curiosity I guess.

I say the average is around 55 or 60. Mine is set at 60#

I got my compound on #60, I have a recurve that is supposed to be at 55#, but I have no string on it right at the moment..:D

I'm shooting 74lbs @65% letoff. Basically I'm only holding 25.9lbs so I'd have to agree with your comment to a point. I guess it depends how "efficient" is defined

69 lbs with 80% letoff so I am holding 13.8 lbs at full draw. My longbow is 50 lbs even. I will hunt with them both this year.

Mine is 70lbs with 80% let off. I am however considering changing to 65% let off.
