Son's First and Second Pics

OK, I did the photobucket thing. I hope this works...the button buck was his first archery kill on opening day, September 11 and the spike was this past Monday, September 20th.

Not bad for a ten year old. (proud papa as you guys said!!)

You son must be the humble type. I was expecting a huge smile:D and eyes like silver dollars. [:-]But they are excelent pics none the less. I was also thinking along the same lines as Bob-co. He put a great hit on the buck. I can't see where he hit the doe. Congrats to the both of you. I'm sure those animals mean just as much to you as they do to him.

Well done by your son. The only thing better than tagging a big one is having your son do it.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. Now, all my son wants to do is shoot the bow. I don't get it!:)

Thanks for loading them right into the post, whoever did that. That is much better.

Ryan hit the button buck back above the ribs and it exited out the rear leg. Not a perfect shot for sure but the deer only went forty yards and died. We saw it go down. The spike was wierd. The shot angled forward from the back of the ribs and exited out the opposite side perfectly behind the shoulder. That deer went quite a ways and when we checked, the arrow cut the liver and the back side lung solidly. We found it at 10:30 that night looking right at us in a thicket. The next morning he was right dead where we found him.

Ryan is shooting a Browning youth model, I'll have to check the model. He is shooting 49 pounds (limbs botomed out) with 22 inch 1916 arrows. He is a big ten year old. (5'2") 125 lbs. but even when he was smaller last year, he was able to shoot 45 lbs. Incedently, he has been shooting ever since he was two. So he knows what muscles to use I guess.

Again, Thanks guys for all the kudos. I'll print the posts for Ryan, he'll love it.
