I dont have any distance markers on my range.

Just take a guess of the yardage and shoot.
How else are you going to learn to judge the yardage?

I bet you dont put yardage markers out where you hunt :) so why have them at your practice range.

For me, continual practice at set distances really helps me judge distance in the woods. I also setup my scent at a fairly consistant distance, as well as using range finders when I'm on stand.

Don't get me wrong, I totally agree with you. One of the 'games' we play is to let our kids walk us to a spot in the yard, and then tell us which target to shoot at. Good practice for actual hunting.
