penetration at 30 yards

I currently shoot a PSE Dakota, peaked out at 60lb. 31 inch draw, WB 2, 29 inch carbon express 4560, 100gr tip. I do not know my arrow speed or KE.

This season I started shooting at 30 yards and I don't know if my bow has enough "umph" to get adequate penetratin at that distance.

I am getting 8" of penetration on a brand new "Block" target from the 30 yards.

Shooting a 3 blade 100gr muzzy

With proper shot placement and a good sharp broadhead you should be fine.

If you are getting 8 inches on a brand new "Block" at 30 yrds, you should have no problem on a deer.

Unless you hit a good bone square you should blow right through a deer. Ribs shouldn't be a problem but larger leg bones are no,no's to stay away from.

With proper shot placement and a good sharp broadhead you should be fine.
Two very important elements to a sucessful kill.
