Desappointed about Rocky Mountain revolution

Hi everybody!
I have spent a lot of time hunting with those mechanical heads last fall and i have been very desappointed about them. They were opening for almost nothing when manipulating them. Unfortunatly, i have missed two deers(bad shot) and my revolution heads after hitting the ground (sand) were unusables. Next fall, i will hunt with my thunderheads wich i have had a lot of success. Is anybody desappointed about those heads too? Before i use a mechanical head again, it will pass a lot of water under the bridge...

Good hunting!!! Jean

Go back to the Thunderheads and NEVER look back. They are the best broadheads EVER.

Your going to find that most mechanicals reguardless of manufacture will not be as durable as the better fixed blade heads.. When you say the heads were no longer useable, what exactly do you mean. were the ferules bent, or was the blade cartrige broken? As long as the ferule is not bent( and it takes a lot to bend one), you just replace the blade cartrige( which you need to do anyway as you have shot a dulled the head). The Rocky revolution is a very good mechanical head for deer and similer size animals, provided you have enough Kinetic energy with your setup.

I've used Satellite mechanicals the past couple years and the entry holes have been huge. Both bucks I hit left great blood trails and didn't go over 70 yards. But, the choice is yours to go back to fixed blades.

I personally use rockets and have great success. I made a bad shot once and hit the deer in the shoulder blade and still got a complete pass though, the deer didn't go 20 yards. With my set up, Rockets work great for me.
