Default Dad's Buck.

I had mentioned in my post about my first deer that a couple days later my dad taged a nice 4 point buck (that's an 8 point for you eastern hunters). Just thought I'd finally post a couple pictures so you guys can see. We had seen him on several occasions and knew he was a nice deer, when the opportunity presented itself, dad took the shot and made it count. I must say, BBQ backstraps sure do hit the spot!

The older gentleman in the one picture is the landowner and a good friend. He told us he was happier to see us get that buck than anyone else who hunts the property.

Yep, that is a nice buck. It does look like its in velvet, but that ain't no problem. I'd sure be satisfied with him!

Nice buck. I don't get the 4 point thing though. What if it had 4 on one side and 5 on the other... would you call it a 4 plus 1 or a 5 minus 1? rofl? I have lived all over the US and we always counted the total points.
