Well, last year she shot her first buck with a rifle..
This year I'm taking her with me on opening day. I have a GOOD SPOT set up on the ground.. I have rubs all over.. I've counted 15 + so far in a hundred yard area.. And some good size ones too..
She is gonna video tape..
This will be the first Time, well Actually second Time, I sit on the ground opening day.
Another time was when I took my old man with me.. I happened to shoot a NICE 8 that day..
What more can a guy ask for than to sit with his Father on the ground and shoot a nice Buck and experience that with him?
NOTHING CAN..
I hope I get to experience that with my fiance too.. I did last year, rifle..but.....
She got mad at me last year, cuz I didnt wait to get her to track my 8..
Wish me luck...

You're a lucky guy in my book. I take my kids hunting and my oldest hunts with me. However, my wife of 16 years would never consider it, until this spring when I convinced her to go turkey hunting with me. Now she understands a little better. I had my bow and she had a shotgun. She still won't go deer hunting, but maybe with a little more encouragement . . .

Don't do it. If you take her hunting, then she will want a bow. Then she will want a truck for that bow. Then she will need a 4 wheeler. She will want a trailor for her 4 wheeler as well. Then she will want to buy property. She will start with 20 acres then buy 2000. She will then want more. She will destroy your hunting ground so the deer come to hers. She will clip your bowstring when you don't take her. And WHEN she gets a bigger deer than you, you will never live it down. You better just leave her at home. These kind of things get a man in trouble.

zak123, funny post.
Not for sure if it's worse having your wife totally involved in your hobbies, or have them sit at home w/ the child, while you're in the woods or in the middle of a lake pulling up bass...resenting you the whole time you're gone (was that out loud?). I love my wife, but MAN does she get upset sometimes when I'm gone! Any suggestions out there on how to ease the pain?
Mathewsboy, I think it's pretty cool that you get to take your fiance out in the woods w/ you. She obviously has taken a huge interest in something that you have a strong passion for...good luck this year!

Answer for hunter 25: Plenty of beer.
Mathews boy enjoy the hunts with your fiance now because when your married she won't be with you in your blind anymore. P.S. you won't neccesarily view that as a bad thing either.

No way do I want my wife in the woods with me. She has her things, I have my things and we have things together. Hunting/fishing is one of my things. I love her, but sometimes you just need some "away" time.
