weights vary from arrow to arrow?

What is the acceptable weight difference in arrows. I placed my arrows (gold Tips)on my scale that I use for reloading and I made sure that the that the tips were 100 gr. tips and the arrows varied as much as 12 grains within the groups of arrows I checked. Help! Will this effect arrow flight ? What can i do to correct this? I heard that you want to have no variance greater than about 3 grains.

Unless you're trying to shoot 1/2" groups at 80 yards, 12 grains in total arrow weight isn't cause you any trouble at all.

I think it depends on how far you shoot your arrow and your personal take on the matter. If it bothers you, then add a few teflon washers to your arrow. To even things out. I think that they are about 2 grains per washer. If you are only shooting out to 30 yards, I don't think that you will see too much of a difference. If it were me, I wouldn't worry.

Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. I was just trying to get everything as accurate as possible. Thanks again!

That's why I weigh the raw shafts of the Gold Tips I get in and group them into dozens weighing within 3 grains. After fletching and cutting they generally weigh within 1-2 grains of each other.
