How to hunt a hurricane
Based on what I've read in the past it seems that animals have an instict to tell when extreme weather is coming. So my question is which do you think is better. To hunt right before the storm comes in (hoping to catch them moving and eating extra food) or right after the storm (hit'em when they are hungry)? Or am I just crazy and deer don't alter their patterns for severe weather?

RE: How to hunt a hurricane
Both times should be good. I would definitely be out there before this thing hits. Deer WILL be on the move. And if it sets in bad weather for a day or two, it should be just as good after it clears. Good luck.

RE: How to hunt a hurricane
I wouldn't want to push it too close to an incoming storm. If you hit one and have to track it that could be hell. I'd be ready to go as the storm passes. The deer will be up and moving looking for food(no need for water at that point). If you're brave you could hunt the eye but I personally would pass on that. Can you imagine being in a tree as the eye wall passes:eek:. Yeah, Don't hunt the eye. Please;)

RE: How to hunt a hurricane
I saw great activity before the hurricane last year. Too bad the season opens today and the cane is already here. Yesterday evening would have been perfect, this morning too (stupid job). I'll be out there Sat. when it clears up though.
