permanent bowstand
i built this monster august 'o3 using 4" x 4" cca posts sunk as deep as i could dig. i set the posts in concrete ... much to my surprice, it produced 3 does and 1 nice 8-pointer last fall. all shot within 30 yards of the 4' by 6' deck that is only 10 feet off the ground.....i've cut all the thorny locust and hedge trees except for a few to provide "skyline" camo...the ladder is 18' long.
here's the stand from the opposite direction after its been brushed i've planted approx. 3 acres to ladino clover, rye, and turnips and will begin oak and fruit tree plantings in the spring.....
Anybody else bowhunt from a permanent stand?

RE: permanent bowstand
Nice stand I could sleep in that one,I Hunt from a permanent and portable.Mines in a tree fork about 16 ft up,That produced two 5 pts ONE 8 And a half rack in 2 years.I also make stands.Get Half a side of a aluminum extention ladder and I build a platform on it out of 2 by 3 pressure treated, then I get a chain with some hooks and turnbuckles and set it up against a tree.If I need to move it to get closer to the action for the next week i could.Either way I love both stands,Just set up a lock on stand 3 more weeks and i'll be in that .Good Luck
