Nothing beats the anticipation of the first hunt of the season and what it might bring. Enjoy every minute of it!!!!

I just finished packing up the truck. Still have to run by the storage space tomorrow for my climber (just in case) and my ATV. Then off to work until lunch, then off to the lease. I am so pumped. This will be my first archery season.

Wow after reading the responses I guess legally the season is here or just about. Reality it still won't come in for another month in half. It aint hunting until the rut is in full swing.;)

Last year was incredible with a dozen bucks chasing does all around me. This year I plan on bringing the camera.


Good luck on your early hunting. Have patience and it will pay off.

Saturday is opening day for me to. I'm pumped!
I found a funnel along the side of a swamp that leads to a 6-acre soybean field.
Lot's of tracks in and out of this area so I started laying apples a couple weeks ago. I can't keep them in there.
I'll be sitting in my doghouse blind with the video camera and my bow 2 hours before light. I'll have a 2-6 yard shot when they come through. Talk about up close and personal.
I'll be their all day if I have to. I'm hoping to catch them going to bed after a night of feeding on the beans.
